New mobile light tower
Allmand’s telescopic light tower, the Maxi Lite 8V, is bright, raises swiftly to a height and will set a blaze to the night.
The Maxi Lite 8V has a combined light output of more than 600,000 Lumens, which Allmand says can provide safe working illumination to an area the size of a tennis court.
The light tower incorporates four super high output 1250-Watt metal halide lamps on an adjustable head.
It has a six section, hydraulically actuated automatic lift mechanism that elevates the lamp head to almost eight metres above the ground. It can be raised to its full height in 25 seconds.
The Maxi-Lite incorporates nylon guide sleeves that help stabilise the tower when extended. According to local distributor CAPS, the unit can withstand wind gusts of up to 100kph.
Powered by a Caterpillar Model C1-1 diesel motor driving a 7.5 kW generator, the fuel-efficient engine can run for up to 100 hours; enough to power almost a full week’s worth of shifts.
Richard Sweet, a marketing manager for CAPS Australia, said the Maxi-Lite is a quality manufactured product for minimal capital expenditure that efficiently illuminate most work sites.
