FMG bullish on iron ore outlook in Pilbara and continued demand from China and India

By Babs McHugh from Perth , WA

Cost blow outs, price negotiations and Rio Tinto employee Stern Hu were the main topics of conversation at the iron ore and steel conference on in Perth yesterday.

Although they presented from a podium, the heads of Rio Tinto and BHP Billiton's iron ore divisions declined to meet with the media to answer some of the harder questions.

Not so Andrew Forrest, head of the so called 'new force in iron ore', the Fortescue Metals Group.

Babs McHugh spoke with Andrew Forrest on a range of topics starting with what he thinks will be the impact of the Stern Hu affair on China/Australian business relations.
